Grégoire Lauvin

A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d'Art of Aix-en-Provence, Grégoire Lauvin creates installations where nature and technology closely and poetically interact in the spirit of hacking, that movement in favor of information sharing and decompartmentalizing technology.

BioOsc is a device that makes it possible to generate sounds from plants. The system, comprising a series of potted plants linked by an electronic circuit, picks up signals that are associated with the plants' growth and interprets these signals by transforming them into sounds.
