The activities of the Centre pour l'image contemporaine now form part of the Batiment d'Art Contemporain. This web site presents the former's programme up until 2008.

The 6th of December 2008, the Municipal Council of the city of Geneva voted for the transfer of the funding of the Centre pour l'image contemporaine (CIC) to the Batiment d'Art Contemporain (BAC).
In February 2009 this transfer was blocked by a referendum initiative. The referendum vote took place the 27th September 2009.
The referendum initiative was refused. As a result, the transfer of the Cic's flagship activities became effective along the following terms:
